Malta’s U-16 team will be taking part in the FIBA European Champ-ionships Div. C, to be held in San Marino between July 12 and 17.

Malta have been drawn in Group B with Gibraltar and San Marino. Group A is made up of Andorra, Monaco and Wales.

The opening game for Malta is against San Marino on Tuesday. The following day Malta take on Gibraltar in their final group game with the qualifying matches scheduled for July 14 and 15.

The finals will be played on July 17.

Malta coach Bruno Di Pietrantonio has named the following squad: Nikola Andrejevic (Luxol), Mathias Attard Montalto (Luxol), Simon Attard (Hibs), Matthew Borg (Loyola), Christopher Julian Cordina (Luxol), Matthew Farrugia (Loyola), Nicholas Grech (Depiro), Darrel Schembri (Depiro), Aaron Falzon (Newton North High School, US), Zane Micallef (Geelog, Australia).
