Leading law firms Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal and Ganado Sammut Advocates have merged in a bid to consolidate their specialisations, according to an announcement yesterday.

Specialisations developed over the years include corporate and commercial law, tax law, employment law, intellectual property law, European law, maritime and aviation law, trusts and foundations, financial services and dispute resolution.

FFFL will be able to offer an enhanced range of services to meet the requirements of its local and international clients.

Austin Sammut will join Tonio Fenech, Christian Farrugia, Antoine Fiott and Damien Fiott as partner of Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal, under which name the merged practice will continue to operate.

Celia Mifsud has been appointed senior associate of the firm.

Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal, of Valletta and Swatar, has a team of 12 advocates, supported by supporting legal and administrative staff. It forms part of a wider collaborative professional services organisation, bringing together various centres of expertise under one roof, including fiduciary and trustee services.
