You’re The One That I Want – the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John song from Grease – is the biggest-selling movie track of all time, research based on UK sales has revealed.
The figures, compiled for Radio 2, count down the top-selling tracks which were recorded especially for films.
Love Is All Around, covered by Wet Wet Wet for Hugh Grant’s Four Weddings and a Funeral, came second.
Stevie Wonder’s I Just Called To Say I Love You, which featured in The Woman In Red, is the third-biggest seller in the UK.
Everything I Do (I Do It For You) – the Bryan Adams ballad from the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which remained at the top of the UK charts for 16 weeks – is fourth.
Another Grease track – Summer Nights from the 1978 movie – was fifth.
