The two Libyan jet fighters parked at Malta International Airport are currently being towed from the airport's Park 4 to Park 5 by the Armed Forces of Malta, to facilitate operations within Malta International Airport.

The Mirages were flown to Malta by defecting pilots who allegedly disobeyed orders to bomb civilians in Benghazi last week.

Their weaponry was then deactivated by a team of specialisists from the UK’s Royal Air Force and the fighters were later rendered safe by French civilian engineers.
