Updated: - The Malta Resources Authority has announced the official January prices for LPG and propane gas per cylinder, with Easygas announcing slightly cheaper rates. .

The Authority said distributors are obliged to sell LPG at the prices established by Liquigas (Malta) Ltd and or Easygas (Malta) Ltd, provided that the prices quoted above are not exceeded.
Consumers were advised to view the price lists on the distributors' trucks prior to purchasing, and, if in doubt, consumers should obtain a receipt for any purchases.

EASYGAS PRICES
New gas supplier Easygas said that its prices per cylinder for this month would be the following:
Door-to-door delivery: 10 Kgs - €13.40; 15 Kgs - €19.50 and 25 Kgs - €31.50
Fixed point sales: 10 Kgs - €13.00; 15 Kgs - €19.00 and 25 Kgs - €30.80
It said that in view of the ongoing controversy over the refund paid on gas cylinders, door-to-door deliveries were still not being made and sales are currently only being made from its premises in Valletta Road, Luqa, Alfsons Enterprises - Manuel Magri Street, Hamrun and the Easygas Malta shop in Naxxar Road, San Gwann.
The company insisted that the authorities had to ensure that the people were able to enjoy the benefits of market competition.
