This year’s panto in Maltese, the tenth produced by Kumpanija Teatru Rjal at the Catholic Institute Auditorium, Floriana, is especially dedicated to the most popular dame of the past decade – Ziggie Lulu.

The show consists of a trip along the most famous events in the history of Malta, hence the title, Ziggie Lulu, Pass Pass Mal-Istorja.

Familiar names such as Fabian Scerri de Carlo, Mario Snits Spiteri, Ina Robinich, Toni Busuttil, Leontine, Ronald Briffa, Brian Farrugia, Laura Bruno, Neville Refalo and Clifford Galea feature in the cast.

The star of the panto, year after year, remains Hector Bruno.

Dancing by YADA Dance Company, singing, lighting, joke cracking, Augusto Cardinali’s direction, Neville Gatt’s live orchestra and Joe Julian Farrugia’s original script and lyrics are all intended to have the best Christmas panto mix possible.

The panto is produced by Pawlu Testa.
