Experienced shooter Frans Pace won the Horace Micallef Enterprises Trap Selection on his return to competition at the Bidnija Ranges yesterday.

A break of almost 12 months has clearly not diminished Pace's shooting prowess as the veteran claimed top spot at yesterday's selection shoot. He chalked up 111 points from 125 and another 20 single shots in the barrage for a winning total of 131 points.

Jeffrey Pisani was second, only one point adrift of Pace, while Noel Attard took third place with 128 points. Nazzareno Attard (126) was fourth ahead of Jason J. Aquilina (125) and Nicky Carabott (119).

Meanwhile, AMACS Pistol Team yesterday prevailed in a pistol competition held at the Ħandaq Shooting Range. They were followed by MSSF, AACTS and GTSC Pisto in that order.

In Sicily, Eleonor Bezzina achieved an ISSF MQS of 362 during an air pistol competition.
