The Malta Karate Federation (MKF) last weekend organised a National Karate (Kata) League at the Sta Tereża Girls' Junior Lyceum in Mrieħel. The event attracted the participation of 85 athletes from the seven clubs affiliated to the MKF, namely Birkirkara, Fgura, Mġarr, Mtarfa, Naxxar, Paola and Pembroke. Kenneth Abela, the MKF president, said in a statement that the aim of this league was to give the federation's members more opportunities to experience competitive events. The refereeing commission was headed by Sensei Anthony Zammit.
