BORG. On September 24, at Ta' Saura Home, Rabat, KATERINA, of Rabat, aged 91, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Ġola, Madlene widow of Henry, Leli widower of her daughter Bernardette, Madlene widow of her son Charlie, Joe and his wife Rita, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Ta' Saura Home today at 2.30 p.m. for Ta' Ġieżu church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at the Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On September 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA née McCarthy, of Senglea and residing at Sta Venera , widow of Carmelo, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Maria and her husband Horace Micallef, Charlie and his wife Louise, her beloved grandchildren Claire, Christian, Charlise, Alexander and Marvic, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, their respective spouses and families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Sta Venera parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Stamps exhibition
The philatelic society will be holding an exhibition of traditional stamps, unique items of postal history, old postcards and thematic collections at the Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana from October 9 - 11. Opening hours on October 9 and 10 will be between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to noon on the final day.
