A contingent of players and officials from the Malta Darts Association will be in Italy this week for the 10th Mediterranean Cup which will be played in Bologna.

The players representing the country, under the guidance of managers Noel Gauci and Edward Bonnici, are Malta champion John Ciantar, Paul Sammut, Godfrey Abela, Gordon Stanmore, Joyce Fenech Borg and Dorianne Scicluna.

They were all selected following a series of ranking tournaments to determine the top seeds.

The events contested in Bologna, between tomorrow and Sunday, will be singles, doubles and teams.

Besides Malta and hosts Italy, the other countries taking part are France, Greece, Cyprus and Gibraltar.
