The most visited political website in Europe this week is that of Libertas, the new pan-European political movement, according to figures released on Monday.
Libertas chairman Declan Ganley said, "With just over a month to go, this is great news for us. This is a tremendous start and shows how quickly a grassroots movement in one country can turn into a serious political force across the whole of the EU27"
Libertas Malta Leader and MEP candidate Mary Gauci said, "These figures demonstrate that the positive message of Libertas is appealing to voters across the European Union. Our website is a great way for the Maltese public to know what Libertas stands for."

Libertas is a pan-European movement dedicated to creating a new, democratic and open European Union, from the ground up. Libertas will contest the European elections in June 2009 in countries across the European Union.
Libertas.eu seeks to have the European voters’ mandate to reform the EU and is committed to bringing more democracy, accountability and transparency to European Union law-making and institutions. This is the first time a pan-European party will contest the European elections.
