Fernando Torres is coveted by a number of top clubs but the striker is happy at Liverpool, his agent has said.
Bankrolled by the Abu Dhabi royal family, Manchester City are believed to be lining up a mega-bid for the Spain international as they look to establish themselves as a major force in English and European football.
Torres enjoyed a brilliant debut season with Liverpool last term following his transfer from Atletico Madrid and he has been shortlisted for the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
Reports suggest Liverpool are preparing to offer the forward, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, a lucrative new deal in a bid to keep potential suitors at bay.
Torres's agent, Jose Antonio Martini, admitted the striker has no shortage of admirers, but that he has no intention of leaving Liverpool.
"Big European clubs are always asking about Torres, but he loves it at Liverpool and is keen to get fit to fight for the title and Champions League," Martini was quoted as saying in the Daily Star yesterday.
