Clive Farrugia and Nicky Carabott are sole leaders in the provisional standings of the Malta International Trap and Skeet Shoot, currently underway at the Bidnija ranges.
Both shooters were in top form, Carabott, in particular, smashing a 25-straight in Trap and a 23 for a 90/100 score ahead of the remaining 25 clays this morning before the final barrage of 25 in the afternoon.
Carabott is followed by Ryan Bugeja (86), Stanley Cardona (85), Paolo Conti (83), Morgan Scott (83) and Jason J. Aquilina (81).
Farrugia (92/100) had a double 24 score in Skeet to open a seven-point lead over Darren Vella who is second on 85. Paul Vella is third (82) ahead of Max Fenech (80).
The three-day shoot, with the participation of Italian and Welsh shooters, comes to a close today.
