Robert Micallef will spearhead the Marsaxlokk committee next season after being appointed president of the Premier League champions at the club's annual general meeting on Wednesday evening.

Micallef succeeds Mark Sciriha, the son of former vice-president Victor Sciriha. The Scirihas tendered their resignation from the Marsaxlokk committee earlier this month. Sciriha senior assumed the presidency of Valletta on Tuesday.

Peter Hartshorne and Steve Abela have been named Marsa-xlokk vice-presidents while Mark Cutajar takes over from Micallef as club secretary. Thomas Zahra has been appointed treasurer and Mario Desira a member of the committee.
