Embellishment works on the stretch of the Victoria-San Lawrenz road have reached their final stages and the final surface of tarmac has just been laid.

The works, one of the first infrastructural projects to be taken in hand through EU funds, are also being carried out on the roundabout at the Ghasri junction. The roundabout was built to ensure a secure traffic flow on the way to and from the villages of Ghasri, Gharb and San Lawrenz. The installation of road lighting and markings will be carried out in the coming days.

Other embellishment works include the construction of rubble walls along the road and the laying of a variety of plants.

In the coming days, further works will start from near the trees at Ta' Pinu junction towards Gharb.
