I would like to congratulate the roads department on the speedy and efficient way they completed the St Julians roundabout. The squad were obviously working flat out to complete all the necessary work including resurfacing, pavements, road markings etc. If this was the norm, Malta's road and drainage problems would soon be resolved.

Contrary to a letter in Saturday's The Times, I believe this new roundabout will prove a great asset but only if drivers obey the elementary highway code law stating all vehicles should give way to traffic from the right and signal appropriately.

Accidents will happen if this consideration is not exercised.
