Proposed amendments to DC2005 (4)

Mepa is issuing for public consultation updates to the Design and Policy Guidance DC2005. The Authority is putting up for public consultation amendments which will repeal certain policies in the previous document published last year. DC 2005 is a compendium of policy and design guidelines, mostly for the use of architects and those connected to the construction industry. The proposed amendments are essentially due to fine tuning resulting from practical experience.

Policy 12.5 - Policy has been amended so that residential developments with more than 10 residential units make adequate provision for a garbage room at street level.

Policy 13.5 - Services on roof should not be permitted on Grade 1 and Grade 2 scheduled property only.

Policy 15.9 - Areas in which permanent fixed and enclosed structures may be permitted have been defined.
