At the dawn of time, when the Maltese archipelago formed one mountain range inhabited by giants, one strong being called Sansuna carried huge boulders on her head to a temple site now called Ggantija.

At least that's how the legend of Ggantija and Sansuna goes.

The legend will be dramatised for the first time in a light and sound show at the temple site in Xaghra, on August 5 at 8.30 p.m.

During the evening, sponsored by Xaghra mayor Joe Spiteri and the local council among others, there will also be a re-enactment of the Solar Festival that used to be held at the temple.

The show will be free of charge.
