Charles Abela has again been confirmed president of First Division Mosta FC. Despite a lacklustre season in the Premier League in 2002/03, there were few chances in the Mosta committee with vice-presidents Michael Attard and Charles Pace also making their intentions clear to carry on at the helm of the club.

Mosta's three main sponsors for the new season will be Nectar Ltd, Attard Bros and Mosta Auto Dealers. This was a major boost for the relegated club and following last month's annual general meeting, the club's administration immediately started working for the forthcoming season.

Jimmy Mifsud was appointed new club secretary. However, the boldest move was the appointment of a new coaching team. With Vince Carbonaro's contract not renewed, Mosta appointed from within.

Joe Grech, assistant to Carbonaro last season, is the new coach. He will be assisted by Paul Zammit who although still on the club's books as a player, will concentrate more on the coaching side.

Zammit recently spent two weeks learning coaching techniques in Italy.

The club will also be organising the 'Gammari Muscat' Mosta Tournament between August 6 and 17 and the Mosta FC Under-19 Challenge (August 18-28).
