The marriage took place on Sunday, December 8 at St Patrick's church, Sliema, between NOEL, son of Mr and Mrs John L. Bartolo of Cospicua, and MARIE CLAIRE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Anthony A. Mifsud of Kappara. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Carmel Mifsud, SDB, and co-celebrants Canon Anton Gouder and Canon Michael Zammit. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr Joseph Micallef Stafrace and Dr Anthony Abela. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Dr Neville Camilleri, whereas Dr Mark Anthony Mifsud Cutajar, Mr Thomas Woods and Dr Ian Stafrace acted as ushers. The bride was attended by Dr Lydia Zerafa, Dr Tatianne Cassar and Miss Melanie Cassar. A reception was later held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Targa.

Obituary
BORG. On December 6, suddenly in London, JOHN JOSEPH sive JOHNNIE, son of the late John Borg and Mary née Meli, aged 46, formerly of Valletta, residing in London, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved mother Mary, his sisters Maria and her husband Edgar Borg, and Rita and her husband Emmanuel Tabone, his brother Francis, his nephews and nieces Christian, Anthony, Lara and Martha, his former wife Paula Surleau, his aunt Maria and her husband Anthony Pirotta, his uncle Joseph F. Borg and his wife Pauline, his cousins, relatives and friends.
The funeral took place yesterday. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CALLEJA. On Saturday, December 14, at St Luke's Hospital, MARY, née Demajo, aged 94. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved daughter Antoinette and her husband Manfred Galdes, her grandchildren Anna Maria, John and Manfred and their families, her sister Consie Demajo, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be held tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. at Casa Leone XIII, St Julian's, followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Casa Leone XIII will be appreciated.
