The fourth edition of Diocesan Commission for Youth’s Young People’s Forum is being launched at St James Cavalier in Valletta tomorrow at 7 p.m.

The idea behind this year’s theme ‘Keepitreal’ is to probe the social implications of web-based media, including social networks, instant messaging and blogs.

A panel of researchers will highlight the major perspectives behind the theme. Karen Bishop, Alex Grech and Prof. Saviour Chircop will share their insights on transformations in relationships, in social interaction and in the concept of ‘participation’.

After the event, young people will be given the opportunity to share and discuss perspectives on the significance of their impact.

Their concerns and considerations will then be compiled into a memorandum and presented to Church and state authorities.

Attendance is free.
