The Salesian Pastoral Youth Service (SPYS) recently led a weekend seminar entitled 'Team up to lead' to improve the leadership skills of Salesian animators and helpers working at Savio College, Dingli. It also served as preparation for Boscofest, HDS, SLV and summer camps organised for youngsters.

Participants were made to appreciate different types of leaders, and which leader's approach was best for particular situations at hand. The seminar encouraged them to acquire qualities and skills to allow them to bridge the gap between the way they want to tackle situations and way they currently do.

The participants were also made aware that it is their approach to problems that determines how they are resolved, and they were motivated to constantly try to better themselves for the benefit of the group and the people they work with.

The SPYS team put in a great amount of thought and enthusiasm into the various activities and sessions which were tailor made for the group to ensure they gained as much as they could from the experience.
