School have their say
Our schools issue has come round again and at least three schools are contributing this week. We are especially impressed with pieces from children who are studying for exams or have prize day productions to work for.
Your family, teachers and friends can be well proud when your schools appear in Junior News. And we look forward to all the different features we can carry with your help.
Sending contributions
Sadly, however, we often receive items we cannot use. So to avoid disappointment we are printing again the conditions for sending contributions.
1. Reports should be written by students with the writer's full name, age and school year written on the back.
2. All pictures must have captions.
3. Letters and My Pet contributions sent through schools must also include the writer's home address.
4. E-mails must include the same details.
5. The text must be plain rtf and poster or display text cannot be used.
6. Please do not send graphs, charts and pictures with writing on them. Writing often spoils the look of a picture.
7. Any comments and captions should be written on the back.
8. Pictures should be clearly outlined and in bold, bright colours. Pencil and pale crayons do not reproduce well enough to show up in print. Lined paper ruins pictures!

Your Letters this week brings up a topic that is very important at this time of year and one that you may like to discuss with your friends and teachers.
For Mother's Day
Our Mother's Day issue will be on May 7, so now is the time for you to send in your pictures, poems, messages and anything you would like to contribute about your mothers, grandmothers, in fact, anyone who is like a mother to you. Remember to include your name, age and address.
