From Luigi Muscat Filletti, 10, from Swieqi
Dear Junior News, I am Luigi Muscat Filletti, from Swieqi. I am 10. I attend St Michael's School, in Pembroke and I am in Junior IV. I've been participating in Junior News since 2004, when I was six years old.

My favourite subject is maths and my favourite hobby is playing football. I also attend Luxol St Andrews F.C. and my favourite position in football is defence.

At home I have an aquarium, with lots of colourful fish, and a green and yellow budgie. My brother Matteo is five years old and we enjoy playing basket ball and football in our basement.

I always look forward to Wednesdays because I love to read Junior News and because I find it very fun and very interesting. I love sending stories, letters and drawings to Junior News. Bye, Luigi.

Well, we really look forward to all your very varied contributions, Luigi and to printing them whenever we can. It is loyal readers like you who are the backbone of Junior News because when new readers see how well you do, they feel like contributing too and the more the merrier, because the whole point of Junior News is for everyone to have a chance.

From Andrea Carl Vassallo
Dear Junior News, my name is Andrea Carl Vassallo. My sister is Nicole Angele. I am eight years old. Last week I did the TSB. It is and English speaking exam. We had to learn a poem, with actions, by heart, get a chart with pictures and we had to choose a reading book, read it and know the story.

My poem was called A Birthday, by Cristina Rosetti. My chart was about growing plants from seeds. With me I took a seed tray, seeds, pots, broken crocks and newspapers.

When the exam came I was very shy. In the last two days I got my results. I got a merit. I think next year I will try and do the exam again. I hope that next year I could do a chart about my friends. From Andrea.

You did really well to get a merit for an exam where you had so many things to do Andrea. And we hope you will have a chance to enter again next year because it would be so nice to do a chart about your friends. We have put your description of the story book you read in our Bookmark column, so you have two contributions in this week. And you've won an €11.65 voucher for sending this week's star letter. Well done.

• The sender of the star letter each week will recieve an €11.65 to exchange and a VIP 10 per cent discount card for all toys at Toyland for a whole year!

• Send your letters, together with your full name, age and address to Junior News.
