From Eleanor Ryder, 10, England
Dear Junior News, I would like to have a Maltese pen friend. Here is some information. I am 10 years old. My birthday is on August 11. I have a pet cat called Elwood and two fish. We are getting two rabbits.

I enjoy netball and cycling. I used to do gymnastics, in a gymnastics club but I don't any more, though I do quite a lot of other things. Another hobby is swimming. I enjoy it a lot at my mum's work.

I love animals and want to be a vet when I grow up. Yours faithfully, Eleanor Ryder. Address: 2 Swift Drive, Scawby Brook, Brigg, North Lincs DW20 9FL, England.

You have lots of interests and hobbies, Eleanor, so we hope you'll soon have the pen friend from Malta that you are looking for. And if anyone else is looking for a pen friend, please note that you must send written permission from a parent or guardian before we can print your address, and Junior News cannot pass on letters or addresses to anyone.

From Nicole Angele Vassallo, 10, of Attard
Dear Junior News, I always used to go to Catechism lessons. Before I used to say it's boring because we only had a lesson and then immediately went home. Some of us used to go in the van, others with their parents. I used to go in the van.

Last November I had my confirmation. For me it was a celebration. A few weeks before they gave us a paper to see where we would go after the confirmation. We had to decide if we would keep on going to Catechism. I said "Why not go to Catechism?" So I wrote to keep going to Catechism lessons. Now I really have fun. At 6.15p.m., we start lessons and at 7, we finish. I always go a little early and my dad comes a little late so I have more time to talk and play.

Now we do plays and activities too. Next week we have a party and during the party we are doing a play. I am also taking part.

Thank you for everything you do for us children.

It's very nice to hear from you again Nicole. It's a good thing that you decided to give Catechism another go because now you really enjoy it.
