Two teenagers entered the second day of their sailing marathon this morning in a bid to raise funds for charity.

Paul Portanier, 13, and Daniel Fenech, 12, are taking part in the 32-hour marathon organised by the Vikings Sailing Club in Haywharf until 6.30 p.m. to raise funds for the cloistered nuns of St Clare’s Monastery, St Julians.

Paul and Daniel are being accompanied by members of the public who pay a donation to try out dinghy sailing.

The activity was opened yesterday by Foreign Minister Tonio Borg.

Donations, cheques payable to Vikings Sailing Marathon, should be sent to the Vikings Sailing Club, Haywharf, Floriana.
