UPDATED - A 26-year-old Serb who lives in St Paul’s Bay admitted in court today to shoplifting a bottle of whisky from a supermarket.

Police inspector Godwin Scerri said that when the police searched Milan Glusac’s apartment they also found a number of tools, worth about €800, which had been reported stolen from a shop in Cospicua in July.

Magistrate Marseann Farrugia jailed him for six weeks. Once he serves his sentence, he will be deported to Serbia.
