More than 100 women turned up at the Verdala Palace this morning to give advice to 14-year-olds about a career they might have already set their eyes on, or professions they have not yet considered.

The 300 female students from four church schools have a large choice of professional women to speak to, including a chef, a police superintendent, a soprano, a magistrate and diplomats.

Organised by Business and Professional Women (Malta), hosted President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, and partially sponsored by a grant from the US Embassy, the event is also supported by the National Council of Women and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which tomorrow launches its Women Forum.
