Archbishop Paul Cremona this evening invited young people to be the protagonists of the Church in the third millennium.

In a letter to youths, read during a prayer meeting this evening at the Oratory of the Heart of Jesus in Mosta, Mgr Cremona recounted the story of St Paul, to whom this liturgical year is dedicated.

St Paul, the archbishop said, turned from a persecutor of Christians to a fierce and intense preacher of the Lord after a bad experience brought him close to God.

He lost his eyesight but saw light in the darkness. Following his experience St Paul became a missionary.

The archbishop urged young people at the meeting to follow in the footsteps of St Paul and be the leaders seeking to inject life in the Christian community.
