Jonathan Young, a 12-year-old boy from Xagħra, is among the finalists in the 22nd edition of the International Peace Poster Contest organised by Lions Club International.

His poster was shortlisted for its artistic originality and is one of 24 finalists chosen from among over 350,000 entries drawn by children, aged 11 to 13, from 65 countries. The theme of the competition was The Power Of Peace.

He is a student of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary of Victoria and, besides his interest in art, he is also active in sports and voluntary work.

The 24 posters selected as finalists will be exhibited in children's museums in localities across the US. They will also be exhibited during the Lions Club 93rd International Convention in Sydney, Australia.
