A man who posed as a yoga expert as a ruse to sexually assault three women in their own homes has been jailed for four years, police said yesterday.

Kyno Hunt, 32, of Chase Court Gardens, Enfield, north London, was also put on the sex offenders’ register for life, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

He was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court last month and sentenced on Tuesday.

The court heard that Mr Hunt was employed as a heating engineer who attended addresses by arrangement to fix and maintain the occupants’ heating systems.

On two of the three occasions where he attacked the women, he engaged them in conversation, telling them that he was also trained as a yoga instructor.

The court heard how he would encourage them to assume a yoga position which required them to get down on all fours. Mr Hunt then used this as an opportunity to come into physical contact with the victim, sexually assaulting them.

The first assault took place on February 7, 2008 in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, with the second in April at a property in Broxbourne.

After the third attack, in the following September when Mr Hunt attacked a woman in her home in Enfield, his victim reported him to police and officers from the Enfield Sapphire Unit launched an investigation.

Mr Hunt was identified and arrested on October 3, 2008 and charged with the offence.

As a result of further inquiries the remaining two offences came to light and Mr Hunt was additionally charged.

He denied all the charges but was found not guilty of a fourth offence of sexual assault relating to an additional victim.

Following the case, Detective Inspector Daniel Smith said: “Hunt is clearly a manipulative and brazen individual who preyed on women; abusing his position and assaulting the victims in their own homes.”
