Yes campaign spokesman Kathleen Grima this morning called for a Yes vote in Saturday’s referendum and said her side would be ready to discuss a compromise way forward.

Speaking at a press conference in San Gwann, she said hunters have already given up a lot, with just 20 half days of hunting allowed in spring.

The issue, she said, was therefore one of balancing the interests of the various quarters and she she was sure that more could be done.

Dr Grima also noted that hunting in spring has been restricted to just two species from 32.
