Yellow Pages (Malta) Ltd recently collected 365 books from its entire staff in order to donate them to the Marsa local library.

The books were presented to Marsa mayor Frans Debono who in turn passed them on to the public library housed within the Marsa public school. The hefty collection has now boosted the book selection available for youngsters who use this library for leisure and study reading.

Another purpose behind this initiative is to recyle books which can be utilised in a better way rather than being left to languish unused in bookcases after they have been read.

A Yellow Pages (Malta) Ltd spokesman stated that apart from the book donations, the company will also be presenting 50 footballs to the Marsa Football Nursery. This is being done in a bid to encourage and promote sports activities among youngsters who attend this nursery.

Mr Debono commended the initiative and voiced his encouragement, urging other companies to follow the example being set by Yellow Pages (Malta) Ltd. He praised Yellow Pages' commitment to continue taking an active interest in the community within which it operates.

Yellow Pages (Malta) Ltd is a subsidiary of the Ark Publishing Group. It has been publishing the Yellow Pages since 1997 and each year distributes 200,000 directories free of charge to the public. For more information one may phone 2125 2252 or visit www.yellowpages.com.mt.
