Just as night follows day, Martin Scicluna’s hollow attempts at reaction follow my every opinion piece. His obsessive need to pronounce himself on every one of my contributions makes him totally disregard basic facts, as he himself has had to admit, albeit grudgingly and perhaps with a gnashing of his teeth.
His latest rant (‘False prospectus’, May 4) is no exception, getting the most basic of things totally wrong.
His obsession, fuelled by his misogynistic fixation, has now come to the stage where, following the publication of an article by me, he became the butt of the standing joke in my office on subsequent days. Upon opening the Times of Malta, someone always asks: “Is Martin Scicluna’s knee-jerk still working?” I must admit that we shall miss it when he is finally told to desist by whoever is pulling his strings.
I shall not expect him to apologise once again. His apologies are as dishonest and meaningless as his original tirades.
