The Social Studies Teachers Association (SSTA) will be organising its next activity at the Curriculum Centre Annexe - Humanities Section, Sarria Street, Floriana, on April 21 between 4 and 5 p.m. This activity consists of a workshop, in which participants are being invited to discuss Fair Trade in connection with food and its production.

Participants will be able to explore various issues behind the food we eat, such as social justice, farming, and the transportation of food.

The workshop will be facilitated by Angele Deguara, sociologist and lecturer at the University of Malta. Ms Deguara also coordinates the Kieku L-Ikel Jitkellem project (www.l-ikel.org).

Those interested in attending are requested to apply and register with Astrid Tonna (Head of Department, Social Studies) on tonna.astrid@gmail.com by Friday.
