Improvement works on the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria have been embarked upon in a project cofinanced by the European Union.

The project is expected to give the gardens a new look and improve recreational facilities while safeguarding and preserving them for future generations.

Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono said that 85 per cent of the €2.5 million required for the project were to come from the EU’s Regional Development Fund.

The work is expected to be concluded by March.
