More than 770 non-fatal workplace accidents were recorded in the last quarter of 2015, the National Statistics Office said.
It said the total was 11 short of the number recorded in the same period a year before. One fifth of the accidents occurred in manufacturing and 16 per cent in the transport and storage sectors.
Only one fatal workplace accident was recorded.
The number of accidents in accommodation and food services activities dropped by 24 but there was an increase of 32 in administrative and support service activities. The largest share of occupational accidents involved people working in elementary jobs followed by those in crafts and related trades.
