If you are looking for a new job, your local recruitment office is the place to go to, whether it's a temporary or permanent opportunity you are looking for.

How you can help a recruitment consultant work for you more effectively:

1. If you are dropping in, try to avoid calling in between noon and 1 p.m., not because our consultants will be tucking into their ham sandwiches. It is likely that other jobseekers would have booked an interview or a chat with their consultant about opportunities. If lunch time is all you have, then come and see us, but be prepared to make an appointment later in the week.

2. Do not come empty handed. Bring your up-to-date CV with you. If you are stuck, we can have a chat or provide ideas for your CV, but have a go before you come in.

3. Think about what it is that you want. What kind of job are you after? Which job area, what salary level - all the important factors.

4. Think about your finest moments. What have you achieved in your current or last role?

5. Dress to impress. A recruitment consultant is selling you to companies and first impressions count. 6. Always ask your consultant for feedback. What do they think about the way you answered questions? How did you come across? What were your strengths and weaknesses?

7. Always call your consultant after an interview with a company. If there were any misunderstandings, you can explain them straightaway. If the company calls your consultant, they can then talk about why it happened.
