In July 2018, there were 206,585 people working full time, an increase of 5.9 per cent, with 79,720 of those– 38.6 per cent – being female.
The National Statistics Office said on Friday that part-time employment as a primary job increased by 1.1 per cent when compared to the corresponding month in 2017.
The public sector accounts for 47,381 in July 2018 – up from 45,942 a year earlier.
The labour supply stood at 208,413, with only 1,828 unemployed available for work.
