The next seminar in the series Work in Progress in the Social Studies given by Dr Jeffrey Pratt, Reader in Social Anthropology at the University of Sussex, UK will be held on Wednesday between 6 and 7 p.m. at the Mediterranean Institute Room 124.

Dr Pratt will be reading a paper on "The Politics of Alternative Food Chains". The first part of the paper is about how the food industry is organised, what the alternatives are, and the complexities of the political movements built around these alternatives. The second part follows this up with a more detailed look at the French movement headed by Jose Bove.
