The 'Work in Progress in the Social Studies' series will be hosting a seminar by Prof. David Napier, head of the Department of Anthropology and Professor of Medical Anthropology at University College London, at the University's Mediterranean Institute, room 124, on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Prof. Napier's paper is entitled 'Non-Self Help: How Immunology is Re-framing the Enlightenment'. In it, he argues that the classical immunological paradigm is predicated upon the body's ability to recognise and eliminate 'non-self'.
