A 23-year-old woman had to be cut out of her car by the Civil Protection Department after a collision on Sunday.

Police said that the woman, from Rabat, crashed into an electricity pole in the area known as Tas-Salib at around 7.15pm. She was rescued from the car by members of the Civil Protection Department.

Her injuries were described as grievous.
