The police are questioning a man believed to have been driving a Mercedes which hit a young woman in Msida late yesterday.

The incident happened at 11.10pm in Marina Street, Msida.

The woman, 18,  was standing on the road, alongside the pavement, when she was hit by the car and injured.

As the car sped on, a friend noted the registration number. The police later traced the car.
