A woman, 35, from Bahar ic-Caghaq was accused in court today of the attempted murder of her partner when she allegedly drove at him, fracturing some of his toes.
The incident happened on May 21 after an argument.
Inspector Josric Mifsud, prosecuting, said the two had a history of arguments and had filed various police reports against each other, The woman also allegedly tried to run over her partner on a previous occasion.
The woman is pleading not guilty, saying her partner had been throwing stones at her when the latest incident happened.
The man had opted not to press charges after he was taken to hospital by the woman herself, but the case was reported to the police by the hospital authorities.
Names were withheld by court order to protect the couple's children.
