A woman this afternoon pleaded guilty to slightly injuring a teacher when she pulled at her hair yesterday.

Rosarita Galea, 36, of Siggiewi admitted to slightly injuring Nadine Piscopo at St Ignatius Secondary School in Handaq when she pulled at the teacher’s hair.

Defence lawyer Edward Gatt said that while he was not condoning the mother’s behaviour, she pulled the teacher’s hair because the teacher had, the day before, pulled her son’s hair. His client, he said, was reserving the right to take the necessary action against the teacher for what happened.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman conditionally discharged the woman for two years and told her that while she was being allowed to go to the school and attend parents’ day, she was not allowed to speak to the teacher.
