A 69-year-old woman from Naxxar was seriously injured yesterday when she was hit by an Isuzu car driven by a 52-year-old man from Mellieħa. The accident happened at Triq L-Oratorju in Naxxar at around 8.45am.

The woman was taken to Mater Dei for treatment. The police are investigating.
