A woman who was caught at a party with three sachets of amphetamine more than five years ago was conditionally discharged after the court heard her admitting that she had shared the drug with her friends.

Charlene-Connie Micallef, 32, from Xgħajra, was searched as she entered the party at MFCC and the drug was found in her possession. She was also found with a small quantity of cocaine.

Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras ruled that although she had been charged with trafficking, given the admission that she had shared the drug with friends, she should be found guilty of trafficking by sharing.

She conditionally discharged Ms Micallef for 30 months.

Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted, while lawyers Franco Debono, Marion Camilleri and Amadeus Cachia appeared for the accused.
