A woman caught loitering for prostitution twice was given a two month prison term suspended for a year and fined €100 after admitting to all charges brought against her.

Galina Ivanova, 26, from Bulgaria, who will soon be returning to her country, was arraigned this morning before Magistrate Aaron Bugeja by Inspector Joseph Busuttil.

The court heard how the woman had been caught loitering in Gzira during a Vice Squad patrol, months after she had been warned against taking part in such activity in Marsa.

The woman, who claimed to have lost her ID Card but never filed a report, was also accused of not having presented any personal documents. She was ordered to keep away from Gzira for the next year.

Lawyer Joe Ellis was legal aid.
