A 90-year-old Gozitan woman was assaulted, bound and robbed in her own home yesterday afternoon, the police said this morning.
The incident happened in Kercem Road, Victoria, at about 3 p.m.
The police said that according to preliminary investigations, when the woman opened the door of her house, two young men barged in, tied her up and demanded money.
They escaped with some cash.
The men were not hooded but one of them carried a knife.
The woman was slightly injured.
Magistrate Paul Coppini is holding an inquiry.
