Singer Katie Melua and champion James Toseland were married at London’s Royal Botanic Gardens last September 1 – only 200 guests were invited. Soon after the ceremony, Melua tweeted “Big thank you for all your messages. I’m hitched!” The two met in April 2011 and got engaged last February.

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas were married on June 30 at the Basilica of St Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York. Actor Baldwin was previously married to Kim Basinger, with whom he has a daughter. Thomas is a yoga instructor and has two yoga studios in New York. Just before the wedding ceremony, Baldwin tweeted lines from an Emily Dickinson poem.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
Just one day after his company went public, Facebook founder and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg married Priscilla Chan in the garden of their Palo Alto home in California. The two had started dating in 2003 when they met at Harvard University.
Only 100 guests were invited and the couple honeymooned in Rome. Soon after the two got married, Zuckerberg changed his Facebook status to ‘married’.

Actress Natalie Portman married choreographer Benjamin Millepied last August 4. The two exchanged vows in a Jewish ceremony, which took place at a private home in Big Sur, California. The ceremony was an extremely intimate affair and only 60 guests were invited. Portman wore an elegant Rodarte gown and insisted on a vegetarian wedding reception. Portman and Millepied met on the set of Black Swan.

Actor Matthew McConaughey married Brazilian model Camila Alves last June 9. The two have been together for five years and got engaged last Christmas. McConaughey and Alves, who have two children together, celebrated their wedding during a three-day ceremony at their Texas home.

Drew Barrymore and art director Will Kopelman got married on June 2 in a private Jewish ceremony at the actress’s Montecito estate. Barrymore, who has already been divorced twice and was heavily pregnant at her wedding, wore a custom Chanel gown, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The two became proud parents of a daughter last September.

Ferry and Sheppard married at the Amanyara luxury beach resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands. The bride wore a stunning Lanvin white dress while the 66-year-old Roxy Music star donned a stylish dark blue suit by Anderson & Sheppard.

Actor John Cleese celebrated his fourth wedding last August 2. This time around, he married Jennifer Wade. The two were married at a private villa on the Caribbean island of Mustique. Wade is 31 years younger than the Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star.
